HY'BRED Horseshoes
HY'BRED Horseshoe
The HY'BRED horseshoe Is the most advanced Aluminum/Rubber horseshoe on the
market today. Unsurpassed shock absorption, superior traction and improved
protection, combined with the best wear resistance of any synthetic horseshoe
makes the HY'BRED the ultimate choice for every horse. Light, Durable, Long
Lasting Reduces Shock and Concussion, Improves Traction, Reduces Injury in a
Variety Ways, Improves Performance, Ideal for Partially Lame or injured Horses,
Easy to Shape and Cold Shoe.
The HY'BRED Sport Shoe can be used as a true orthopedic device, designed to
allow fluid movement, traction, shock absorption, and as a therapeutic
alternative to traditional shoeing methods.
In testing the validity of the HY'BRED Sport Shoes' claims, we have been able
to affix our shoe to a number of equine concerns. Case studies have been
conclusive in their findings that the shoe provides significant benefits to the
soundness of the equine athlete. In the design, we recognized the importance of
our clients to have the ability to slide a bit before contact, which enables a
more natural fluid movement. Once the hoof has ground contact it was equally
important to provide confident stability which our design offers. Numerous
studies have shown the concussive benefits of a Urethane to ground over the
steel / aluminum to ground connection.
The HY'BRED shoe provides the ability to absorb the loading force;
significantly providing substantial shock reduction characteristics.
Additionally, the scope of our testing enabled us to work with horses with
multiple pathologies including Osteochondrosis (OCD), Splints, Sidebone,
Ringbone, Arthritis or Degenerative Joint Disease, Caudal Heel Pain, and
Laminitis. We found that a Ferrier could use the HY'BRED Sport Shoe in place of
traditional shoeing for all these concerns. HY’BRED feels that by providing as
many positives in one package, we will provide you the Ferrier, with one more
weapon in your arsenal to deal with day to day shoeing. In summary, with as many
reasons to use our shoe, we are confident that the HY'BRED Sport Shoe will
become part of your shoeing practice.
Construction
Polished forged Aluminum bonded with a Poly-Urethane inset. Designed to absorb
high-frequency vibrations which can cause bone, joint and tendon injuries, the
HY'BRED Shoe uses a specially formulated urethane that is bonded to a thin
aluminum horseshoe. Applied just like a regular horseshoe, the HY'BRED shoe can
reduce and/or prevent many concussion-related injuries such as splints and
swollen legs/joints.
Benefits
Lameness & Navicular are caused by shock to the horse’s legs, hoofs, and joints.
The unique composite construction of the HY'BRED provides shock absorption,
where as completely metal shoes actually amplify the shock, even when applied
with a pad. The highly elastic, yet wear resistant anti-shock elements, in
combination with the special polymer material provides the ultimate in shock
dampening and comfort for the horse and an effective preventive for Lameness &
Navicular. A horse with less stress to its extremities will live a longer,
healthier, and more productive life. They will also prevent quarter cracks,
wall separation, bare cracks and other numerous ailments that horses will
normally get.
For All Horses Steel vs.
Rubber/Urethane
There are more than a dozen ways that shoes are known to damage the feet, legs,
and circulatory system of the horse. One of the worst damages comes from loss of
shock absorption.
While no shoes are the healthiest for horses In the tough yet elastic
barefoot hoof, the flexing of the weighted hoof can absorb as much as 2,000 lbs.
of concussion. But the horseshoe holds the foot inflexible, canceling out 75% of
its ability to absorb shock. Instead, the concussion goes on up the leg and
damages joints and tendons that were not designed to take so much shock.
With the addition to the shock detuning Urethane the HY'BRED shoes give
support and safety needed the horseshoe mimics the horses natural gait.
Results
A Sound Healthy horse: Because of the nature of a horse's hoof and the
concussive forces the shoe prevents and the enormous amount of pressure put on
the hoof. The horseshoe mimics the horses hoof and the rubber spread naturally
before the hoof. Relieve the pressure and force that will cause damage and
aliments to the noble animals hoof and leg.
